BANKING INFORMATION NEWS – EU TO KEEP WATCH ON BANK COMMISSIONS CHARGED.
News from the European Commissioner on consumer matters, Meglena Kuneva, announced at DECO’s 35th anniversary seminar that some commissions being charged by banks to consumers were unjustified. She further stated that Brussels will disclose an in-depth study relative to bank commission charges to consumers during the month of July this year. Recent investigations reveal that 2/3rds of the cases were unclear about the banks determination on commission costs.
